Curiosity: The Key to Creativity
In literal words, curiosity means, “Having a desire to know or learn more and more about something.”
As Albert Einstein uttered;
“I have no special talents. I am only passionately curious.”
Purposely, this quote entirely relates to our life as a whole because it is saying that not everyone is perfectly genius and not everyone is born with wonderful skills. If someone is good at arts, it doesn’t mean that they were born with a special talent of creativity and artisticity. It actually means that they just worked hard for something and kept asking curious questions along the way. Evolving curiosity is like developing any other new talent or skill as it takes continues repeated practice.
As Gilbert said,
“If you want to live a curiosity driven life, you must commit to being vigilant about looking for what’s piquing your curiosity.”
She basically wanted us to follow what is interesting to us, even if that curiosity is pale at first.
Creativity demands a broad and a healthy mind, one that can not satisfy with recycled assumptions, experiences, ideas and theories. The innovations and advances born throughout in our past, just because creative ideas made by someone who actually curious enough to experiment. And also to ask questions which led him in that direction.
As Alicia Sparks said,
“Curiosity is the thirst that has to be quenched, an impulse that has to be satisfied, oftentimes no matter the price. It is something that even if forgotten can be brought back and cultivated.”
When you bounded in your own thoughts, it means you already have predetermined answers and assumptions to everything you encounter. Or you are too busy rushing from one activity to the next. You may find that you run into the same creative obstacles and hurdles over and over again.
Consequently, there are so many distinctive ways to develop creativity just in a moment by using all of your senses. Do adventure, approach something with the sense of discovery and tackle some new activity. Most importantly, need to consider that what you already know about something is not enough.
So, if you want to spark creativity and get motivated enough to make innovations, just hold on. Take a moment and look. Hence, we can say creativity s a process, if you want to be more innovative, you need to get more organized and come up with the creative process for innovation. In fact, curiosity just fuels high levels of creativity. As it has been found to be just as essential as intelligence in order to getting success. It navigates our progressively complex and speedy tread world.
