Getting up early in the morning makes you feel so much energetic during the whole day. Even if you’re not a morning bird, but, you can believe that morning walk is the greatest way to start your healthy day. As soon as you get outside, see greenery and breathe in the fresh morning air, you will definitely feel refreshed and inspired.
Morning walk is Mandatory
Trust me, I was literally not a morning person as I was not a big fan of morning runs. I did not like to wake up early. BUT GUESS WHAT…? You will inspire after knowing that I recently developed a habit of going on morning walks. I just wake up earlier than I used to, immediately put on my shoes and head out the door to get some fresh air and doing some jogging. Although, you can say it’s just a little effort, but it changed my life as it gives me such a major positive impact so far.
While building a healthy lifestyle has been an important habit for me, I have found that one of the best ways to improve and maintain my health is to simply focus on walking first thing in the morning.
“It is quite possible to leave your home for a walk in the early morning air and return a different person – beguiled, enchanted.”
― Mary Ellen Chase
Undoubtedly, walking in the morning on a regular basis will result in multiple health benefits and it is sure to enhance not only physical health but also mental and emotional well-being.
Now, if you are curious about whether an early stroll would help your health, energy and overall well-being, here I managed to come up with a couple of routines and tips for involuntary early birds.
You’ve probably already experienced that feeling of heaviness and fatigue when not drinking enough water before heading out the door. It is because you did not really drink too much and the body is severely dehydrated and craves for fluid or liquid. Well, Hydration truly is the key factor affecting the overall performance of the body. So, drink at least one small bottle of water (500ml) before a morning run to hydrate yourself properly.
Have a fun snack:
Do not eat proper breakfast before a morning run. Instead, you should go for a light snack. Something like a slice of fruit or a small portion of oatmeal will most likely be sufficient to suppress hunger for the duration of your run. Also, you can do some fun snacking experiments, like what kind of food in which quantities your body performs best on in an individual manner.
Boost Your Energy:
Studies show that who walked for 15 minutes outdoors experienced more refreshment and energy than those who walked for 15 minutes indoors. So, the next time if you need to boost your morning energy or feel fresh when you wake up, you may try a walk out door.
Instead of just doing a walk to get it done, stop and enjoy the beauty around you and take in a good. I mean don’t be so boring, observe the little details of beauty in nature. Believe me, it gives you mental peace in real means.
Find Yourself a Partner:
Well, it is motivating enough for anyone if they have a partner for a morning walk. Preferably the one, whose company you enjoy the most to spend a good time. Having such a friend makes you feel more accountable, energetic, fresh and inspiring. It also helps you to boost your mood, reduce anxiety and improve your self-esteem.
You can manage to go for an easy run in the morning. It is not a big deal. Maybe that’s a little different for you, but I bet you are not going to function best before having a proper breakfast. If you are not used to running hard in the early hours, try to do interval sessions at the time of day you feel most energized at. Running easy and not aiming for a certain pace will make exercising in the morning feel way more enjoyable and improve your chances of actually sticking to that routine.
Now, what do you think about a morning walk now…?
Is it something you will give a chance…?
In my last words, I want to say some people swear by their early morning runs, others try to avoid them whenever possible. But when following the right pieces of advice, some of them I hope I could provide in this article, it will surely feel a little bit enjoyable.
